Terms of Service
MinutesOut is run by Eveyatar Elharar, a sole proprietor. Anything about the service or the messages reaches him at eveyatar1000@gmail.com. Using the service, or getting a text message from it, means these terms apply to you.

What the service is
It answers the phone for a solo tradesman when he cannot, books the job into his own calendar, and tells his customer where he is. The tradesman is the one who buys it. His customers do not pay for it and do not sign up for it.
Billing
A tradesman pays a monthly fee and a fee for each job the service books for him. Both figures are on the pricing page and neither is hidden anywhere else. There is no contract and no minimum.
Acceptable use
The service may not be used to send a customer anything they did not ask for. No advertising, no promotions, no political or charitable messages, and nothing on behalf of another business. Every message it sends is about a job that customer booked.
The text message program
The program is called MinutesOut appointment texts.
It sends text messages to the customers of a home-service business that uses the service — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, handyman work. A customer gets the confirmation of an appointment they booked, a message if the time changes, and an update with a live arrival time when the tradesman is running behind. There is no advertising in it.
A customer opts in by giving their mobile number out loud during their own phone call to the business, after being told the messages are coming, and the number is read back digit by digit before it is used. That consent is not bundled into any other agreement, it is not transferable, and it covers nothing except messages about that customer’s own job.
Message frequency varies. A customer who books one job usually gets between one and five messages about it.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message and the messages stop. The words END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE and QUIT do the same thing. Reply START to begin again.
Reply HELP to any message and you are told who is texting you, what the messages are for, and how to stop them.
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
The program sends to mobile numbers in the United States.
You have to be at least eighteen to give a number for these messages.
For help with the messages, reply HELP to any of them. Replying in ordinary words works too and reaches the business that texted you. For anything else, email eveyatar1000@gmail.com, or leave your number on this site and a person will call you back.

Changes
These terms can change. The date at the end of this page is when they last did, and a change that matters to a customer reaches them in a message rather than only here.
